CARE GUIDE
Light: Best grows in direct sunlight or partial shade outdoor conditions, however, should be undercover during summer days as the heat may damage the leaves. The plant is also suitable for growing indoors with indirect sunlight for 4-5 hours daily.
Water: Water regularly twice a week in spring and summer, however, should avoid overwatering or inconsistent watering schedule. Use pots with holes for better drainage and avoid waterlogging the roots. Reduced watering to once every 5-7 days during the cooler month.
Overwatering can cause brown leaves while Underwatering can cause yellow top leaves.
Temperature and humidity: Prefer medium to high humidity and can grow in house temperature. Avoid extended exposure to cold weather as the plant will be damaged from frost.
Food:
Use a combination of mixing pots with slowly released fertilizers or liquid fertilizer once a month in spring and summer.
Pet-friendly:
Bird of paradise Nicolai is mildly toxic to pets so should be kept away from animals and small children.
