Botanical name: Strobilanthes dyerianus
Persian shield is easily recognizable its distinctive foliage. Its slender serrated leaves with with purple to silver surface and striking deep green veins. The plant performs well in a container inside or outside, in full sun to partial shade, and will appreciate if received good humidity from regular misting. With a bushy growing habit, Persian shield may get up 1m in outdoor habitat. Plants grown indoors will generally bloom in the winter.
